I took a bunch of screenshots while watching. This is my favourite one.
Sid Meier's Civilization has such a captivating intro. I remember watching this in awe when I was a kid. They really managed to convey a sense of grandeur through these chunky pixels and synth beeps. #dosGaming #retroGaming
I'm playing Sid Meier's Civilization as the Russians and despite being in the modern era, I only just now discovered gravity lol
Try these great Microprose simulations #dosGaming #retroGaming
Another thing that's changed: there are charging sockets in 2nd class now. Previously this was a 1st class feature.
It's that little white pin at the front, which shows that if I remain here, I'll be at the front of the train. The location of the pin is different for each sign along the platform. This way you can position yourself before the train is even there. Very cool.
Here's a cool thing they added to the train system since I last used it pre-pandemic: they now have a location indicator on the platform signs that shows where exactly the train will be once it arrives.
I'm peak Dutch right now. That's right, I'm bringing my bike on a train.
Utrecht central station has a sign that gives you daily updates from nature. Today's one reads: "Giant woodwasps emerge from old wood". I think it's funny how amid all this urban concrete we're getting nature news updates.
Sadly it won't work for a lot of websites (like this one) because animated gifs will be automatically converted to mp4s But Firefox also has a bunch of autoplay options, so maybe it's possible to disable those as well!
Firefox has a setting for this in about:config called image.animation_mode It's set to "normal" by default, but you can set it to "none" and then animated gifs will not animate! You can also set it to "once"
I have a bunch of 1980s music gear. Some mics, an electric piano and a bass guitar, all of which I use all the time. Oldest is my 1970s Korg MS-20 synthesizer, which I bought off an old man who was clearing out the attic and didn't know what these go for. I paid maybe 1/4 of what it's worth :o
Still watching B5, still really into it. Just saw S2E19, where Lyta "sends the password"
I have this very apt screenshot saved on my computer for exactly this situation lol
I was at Blast Galaxy arcade in Amsterdam. It's a massive floor with all sorts of cabinets, free to play as much as you like after paying an entry fee. And for me it was free because @gibberish-draft.bsky.social invited me for the launch of Solis! Thanks! store.steampowered.com/app/3382310/...
I'm watching Babylon 5 for the first time. I didn't really know what to expect, but I'm really into it! I'm about halfway season 2 and I think I just hit the goofiest scene yet and I just have to share it with yall
also, the "clear connection"... it wasn't exactly 1080p lol
The problem I had before is that even when running a relatively light game like Shapez 2 here, both the CPU and GPU would shoot up to 80 deg C in no time and then creep up further towards 100 deg C as I played. And look at it now! This is after the game has been running for 2-3 hours!
this is what I thought when I last went to Burger King
I'm playing Neofeud 2 and it's excellent. silverspook.itch.io/neofeud2
