They eventually added him as a playable character for April Fool's Day but ended up keeping him in. I maxed him out before the servers shut down in 2017.

I think it's funny that I'm prepping to do the speed run achievements for Hollow Knight given how much I hate speed run achievements. They burn me out on games, even ones I really enjoy. I got back into Ring of Pain on a whim yesterday and wondered why I stopped playing it for 2 years. ...oh.
