32 years ago today the USMC turned in its last A-6 for reassignment. The A-6 was flown by the Marine Corps for almost 29 years.

Two seat jet bomber designated A-6E on tricycle gear. Painted in Marine Corps livery of VMA-AW-224. Approximate date mid 1970’s. Appears to have been photographed as a static display at an airshow.
