It’s taken about a month of tinkering and ordering a replacement part from China but today I replaced the broken carburettor on a petrol lawnmower and MY GOD I’ve never felt so alive.

This morning; Om. #nowplaying Can we have a new Om album please? IT’S BEEN FOURTEEN YEARS FOR CHRIST’S SAKE.
Sometimes [often] at PRINT SOCIAL there’s not much printing. There’s not a lot of carving. But from time to time someone [ @haggytea.bsky.social ] will bring in an unusual activity for us to have a go at. So we did some foil embossing. It was fun.
This morning; Henry Cow. #nowplaying This is a pivotal cull play and it’s not going well; proto Black Midi wanky nonsense.
Somebody in Margate is writing their favourite Slayer joints in chalk on pavements and honestly I cannot fuck with their choices.
This morning; These Trails. #nowplaying Heatwave appropriate synth-heavy acid folk from Honolulu. One of my favourites.
This morning; Rich Ruth. #nowplaying Lock-down DIY kosmiche spiritual jazz.
Digital rework of a linocut corn maiden I carved. ‘Crying the neck’ is a harvest tradition where the last sheaf of wheat is venerated with song by the local community and turned into corn dolly to be displayed in a prominent place in a village, representing the end the harvest cycle.
This morning; Handsome Boy Modelling School. #nowplaying First play in at least ten years, I’ve always been a bit indifferent to its charms.
This morning; Bob Ray. #nowplaying Starting the day with some hippy seeker shit.
Wasn’t going to watch the match but had a last minute [elaborate] change of heart; currently watching in Canterbury Travelodge. What a corker…!
I love it so much I made an illustrated screen print inspired by it. We saw it at a BFI screening (I think) about twelve years ago and it was glorious.
