Mini review: #TheEndOfOakStreet is a fun, dumb love letter to 1980s Amblin / Speilberg. A lot of it works well, but some of the choices characters make will test your patience, and the outcomes often feel unearned. Still, it’s nostalgic, big, tense, and cinematic.

Just back from #TheOdyssey in 70MM IMAX (holy grail showing). What a cinematic feast. The sheer size and resolution of the screen. The thunderous soundtrack. Great way to experience such an ambitious movie, the latest example of a director at the top of his game.

I was raised on 70s, 80s, and 90s music, so #Mixtape / @mixtapegame.bsky.social hits hard. Started at midnight and three hours rolled by in a flash. Oozes nostalgia. The tracks, narrative beats, and gameplay come together to create a rare brand of emotional magic not often found in videogames.
The #ResidentEvil trailer looks cool, but is 99% not Resident Evil. It has zombies, I think. Although they're very different. And it has the name 'Resident Evil.' Similarities seem to end there. But glad to see Baron Harkonnen has found more work.
These #HeMan trailers are cool and all, but where the eff is Orko, dudes? He better be in this movie.
First two episodes of #WidowsBay are fantastic. Feels like a small-town @stephenking.bsky.social story with a great mix of horror and comedy. What a surprise.

Mini review after 5 hours: #Replaced on #Xbox Series X. Sooo atmospheric. The marriage of best-in-class pixel art and showy 3D hits so hard. Storyline / characters seem fine, but the #Cyberpunk world rips. Controls a bit heavy but more than adequate to keep me playing. Some big bugs need fixing.
No matter how bad your day’s going, just remember: it could always be worse.

Man, the art and tech in #Pragmata results in nonstop screenshot-worthy eye candy.
Between #Replaced, #Pragmata, #PlanetOfLanaII, and #CrimsonDesert, not to mention #Marathon and others, this has to be one of the best Q1/Q2s for games in a while. And there’s something to love on every console. I played Lana on #Switch2, Replaced on #Xbox, and everything else on #PS5Pro.

That was fast. #CrimsonDesert Quick pros / cons early on: Pros: - One of the prettiest games ever - Biggest open world I’ve seen - Core mechanics are fun - So much to do Cons - Story is flimsy - Balance issues - Bugs Could be a benchmark fantasy game in 6-12 months with new content and fixes.
