Unpopular runamuck from the Bad Place. Best known as the shorter guy standing behind drewbear84.bsky.social.
That time when Transformers went COMPLETELY OFF THE RAILS (these figures are so stupid I love them)
If you look closely at the finer details of these figures, work out a timeline of releases, interpret the semiotics of the packaging, cultural significance and the overarching thematic structure, I think you'll agree this is a perfect collection of me spending too much money at #tfnation this year.
I was very brave and took this one photo. Now it is never seeing the light of day again.
I may have already hit my budget for @tfnationltd.bsky.social, including 1 figure that must not be opened/touched/observed lest it crumble to dust. I shone a light inside to make sure the knees were intact, and even that felt sketchy.
Also, it took 18 months and about £6k, but I've finally had my teeth fixed. (Graphic media because gross "before" photos)
Roughly 10 years later, after numerous times dyeing it to cover the grey, my beard has decided it is ginger again, and like PROPER GINGE. (ooft I've caught the sun)
She's still ridiculous but will now kill you if you try to take away her ball.
I am missing our dog as we've been away for a week. She'll be back with us tomorrow but I went through some photos of her and found these from the day we picked her up. Look at her, she's ridiculous. @drewbear84.bsky.social
I watched Cloud Atlas on the plane home, and I forgot how much I deeply love this film. It's ambitious as fuck, complex, weird as all hell. You can't fault anyone involved for their commitment to the bit, it's like they all agreed "let's fucking do this no matter how it turns out"
And an inverting B&M Dive Machine! Damn right I went on this one too. It's always 'you're autistic' and never 'tell me more about your love of rollercoasters'
I always saw these lift mechanisms in Planet Coaster and thought it was just space-efficient, not something that actually existed in real life.
We also found out we're the types of gays who fly into a city, win a Broadway themed drag pub quiz, then fly back out again
Had a lovely time in Salzburg and Vienna. Most holidays we get homesick but not here. It's lovely here.
Was gonna post a video of my walk outside by BSky has done something wrong processing it but honestly it's not far off.
I love in order to understand this t-shirt you have to know Transformers, the Polyphonic Spree, that there's a Transformers themed band called the Cybertronic Spree, AND recognise that this is the In Utero album artwork.
Christ I need to post more often on this thing (or anywhere really, my life is remarkably undocumented the past few years) Anyway, I got new glasses. I like them a lot.
Yesterday's @tfnationltd.bsky.social haul, which is impressive considering I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything.
If you see this, post a robot. Anthony is the only thing standing between me and walking into the sea under the weight of my own inadequacy (Available, maybe, at @obviousplant.bsky.social )
Anyway yesterday I saw a broken museum exhibit screen that was running Shockwave Flash so this week's not been too bad.
