RAIN! A neighbour has whooped! I've got wet standing in it. Pretty sure I'm still going to have to water the pots later. The temperature has dropped considerably. Just 8 minutes of water and here's the 🌞 again. Oh well 😥.

I'm finishing my evening with a small 3yo. Never fear it's Angostura 3yo white rum with lightweight tonic water. Smooth, notes of almond and coconut and light hints of spearmint. I really like it.
Tasting Pinot Noir with friends who want drinking wine under £10. Conclusion is the Waitrose red is too violet tasting overpowering the black cherry. The French wine is very drinkable, and we all prefer the Pfalz PN which is more than £10!
We keep getting banks of dark clouds drifting over today and it still doesn't rain.
When we all think because the temperature isn't in the 30s it's much cooler and we have to do the jobs we've put off all week!
My Nepeta Cataria is coming along nicely once I rescued it from the local cats by placing a clear plastic bag over it.

Cribbage this evening was accompanied by Gemischter Satz, Cabardes2020 and Dr Loosen Riesling Beerenauslese 2018. A fine selection of cheese and biscuits was available too. We finished with Torres 20yo Spanish Brandy.
Birthday present from my friends has arrived. I'm expecting good things from the 15yo because the lesser aged rums are fab.
I've done a thing. My elderly sweet potato had started sprouting so I've popped it into water.
A perfect day for the Nephs to come round and celebrate Uncle Marc's birthday (Tuesday). No doubt I'll get the 'old' jokes again 🤔🤣. I'm making houmous and coleslaw for our chicken burgers in Brioche buns. My brother is bringing cake 🎂. Have yourselves a great day #Bluesky
