First cucumber of the season last week. Oh so tasty. With big grocery stores continuing to stock mostly US produce I am happy that I can grow my own in the summer. The cyclospora outbreak in the USA is yet another reason to shop local. I wish it was possible all year long. #garden #boycotUSA

New foster, arrived in my home on Thursday. She was returned to the rescue due to " family circumstances". She's only 5 years old and morbidly obese so we're going to work on a slow weight loss plan. She's beautiful. #foster #fostercat

Gladiolus in mid-october? Yes. Long story short, rabbits devoured to the stump. Realized they would never grow so planted three new bulbs early august, put chicken wire around them and voila! Had to cut them which I never do because of the frost we had. Best part is, I bought the bulbs at Dollarama.
