THE PUNISHER: ONE LAST KILL was a very fun action-packed special. Definitely recommend if you enjoy JOHN WICK and the like.
I’ve always hated Simon Williams in the comics so I did not even pay attention when WONDER MAN was released. Big mistake. This is such a good series. A love letter to actors and their craft. Season 1 was amazing and I really hope Season 2 lives up to it.
I didn’t care for MARVEL ZOMBIES (Season 1… I hope they don’t get a Season 2). I’m never a fan of unstoppable forces vs. immovable objects. I just found the whole story depressing.
EYES OF WAKANDA was a cute miniseries but pretty unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. It took me some time to get into it because of personal reasons—I thought the character animation was ugly.
I think I’m among the minority who liked IRONHEART, but the finale disappointed me a lot. I don’t think Riri showed growth in the end. Loved Lyric Ross as Natalie. It was a delight to see Zelma’s MCU debut. I hope they give her more to do in future projects.
DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 1 was a little messy but it was exhilarating to watch these beloved Netflix characters in a new story. I stan.
YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN Season 1 had beautiful animation, a great storyline, and enough major differences from 616 and MCU Spider-Men to make it interesting and surprising. I don’t understand why this is still considered an MCU project. Why isn’t X-MEN ‘97? Or the Disney Junior shows?
WHAT IF…? Season 3 reached its peak early on with the Agatha episode. I also liked the Howard the Duck and 1872 episodes. But it felt too short, especially because the last 2 episodes were completely meta stories about The Watcher. I liked how the series ended. I don’t love Captain Carter anymore.
I had heard ECHO was a flop so I stayed away from it. I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. This was clearly a production nightmare. The last episode in particular is chopped to hell. But I still think Echo is a compelling character and I liked the low-key action.
WHAT IF…? Season 2 was fun even though I didn’t care for most of the episodes’ main characters. Kahhori was a real highlight. I hope we see her in other MCU projects.
