Moana (2026) is kinda boring. The only thing I enjoyed was Jemaine Clement's appearance.
Top 5 The Odyssey acting performances: 5. Matt Damon 4. Robert Pattinson 3. Samantha Morton 2. John Leguizamo 1. Anne Hathaway
Think the most underrated acting in The Odyssey is from John Leguizamo. Not a ton of screen time but he gave the second-best performance behind Anne Hathaway.
Like most of Christopher Nolan's recent work, The Odyssey is big, bold, and very, very loud. It's also his most beautiful-looking film. Overall, it's an enjoyable theater experience that must be seen in IMAX. The most memorable aspect is Anne Hathaway's performance.
The Isolate Thief is a very good Civil War thriller. If you enjoy historical fiction, you'll like this movie.
Night Nurse is a bizarre film that feels more like a dream that doesn't make sense.
The Invite is a strong comeback for filmmaker Olivia Wilde after the disastrous Don't Worry Darling. It's very funny and well-acted.
Wes Anderson looks like the cult leader who rails against the evils of material possessions while living in a mansion with a helipad.
Perhaps it was me, but I found Evil Dead Burn more tedious than terrifying. I didn't care whether any of the characters lived or died. I just wanted the experience to be over.
FYI: The worst film of 2026 so far is Joe's College Road Trip. For a talented guy, Tyler Perry makes too many horrifically awful movies.
Finally got to see Tuner. Terrific film, somewhat reminiscent of Good Will Hunting, with a touch of Drive. Highly recommended. Dustin Hoffman delivers a nice performance, too.
The Welcome Table is an important film. It's also the most depressing documentary of the year.
Lockbox suffers from a second half that is kind of a mess and is silly rather than scary. Also, the movie completely abandons a key part of the plot.
My favorite films of the 2020s, so far: 1. Polite Society 2. Companion 3. Promising Young Woman 4. One Battle After Another 5. Vengeance 6. The Menu 7. Love Lies Bleeding 8. Bad Education 9. Killers of the Flower Moon 10. Mass
The Death of Robin Hood might be the most boring Robin Hood movie ever made. It's oddly paced, and the last hour is excruciatingly slow.
Rewatching Companion. Sophie Thatcher is so great in this movie.
Chris & Martina: The Final Set is the rare good Netflix sports documentary. It feels like a realistic portrayal of friends turned rivals turned friends again. My only complaint: it could have been 30 minutes longer.
The flashback scenes in Supergirl should have been the movie. Instead, unfortunately, we get a film with a plot that’s too thin and a villain who’s not interesting.
