Had a great afternoon at the Exmouth Festival Shanties on the Shore. Saw four great groups, Hot Tuna, Mizzen Crew, Exmouth Shanty Men, and Midsummer Gurnards (this last group were excellent and really seemed to be having fun!).
Played a couple of great games this evening, Star Wars Battle for Hoth (makes you feel cool in this weather, even when you lose 😄), and Kingdomino, a simple game but very strategic! #tabletopgames #tabletopgaming #boardgames #boardgaming #nerdlings #StarWars
Quick and simple rules for age of sail battles. We usually play with three players per side, but they work just as well with more or less players. We use small bits of cotton wool for each hit. As you can see the rules are perfect for those flat pack ships. #nerdlings #tabletopgames #tabletopgaming

Picked this up in a charity shop. It was marked unchecked, but everything seems to be there (including an extra couple of dice), and only the basic game pieces have been punched. I enjoyed reading the book, so hopefully I'll enjoy the game as well. #boardgames #tabletopgames #nerdlings
As it's set during the Victorian age I don't see it being xenophobic at all. Ive also run that one at a local gaming convention for a steampunk group.
