I'm a pediatric nurse in a place that ICE has targeted. Many of my patients and coworkers are immigrants. I mentioned to a friend that in the coming months, it will be the job of white looking people like me to put our bodies between ICE and brown people.

Text conversation. "Right, but it's better if a white person gets shot than if a brown person gets shot. It makes the news."
Reply: "Sigh. okay, I hear you, but let's make sure you don't get shot."
Answer "Yeah, it's not my goal to get shot."

Funny. I forgot Miller's name so I googled "ghoul in charge of immigration" & this came up.

The a I overview says the term ghoul in charge of immigration is not an official government title.But rather, a pejorative used in public discourse, primarily referring to stephen miller and tom homan. Another article's headline says
"trump's chief ghoul Stephen miller wants to disappear you."
