Despite its prosaic title, THE DAMNED (2024) is a beautiful piece of filmmaking. An Irish/Norwegian co-production, it is filled with dread and stunning Nordic visuals. Available on Hulu here in the States.
I love this novel by Maud Ventura! it’s one of my favorite kinds of books, written in the first person by a truly horrible character, this one a young would be, and soon to be female popstar. It is very knowingly written and filled with veracity and ferocity.
Sam Raimi is back in a big way with his new movie, SEND HELP! Great script, great cast, great directing, a great time at the movies in every way! And the less you know about it going in, the better.
