They/them. Microbiologist/bioinformatician (MSc) working at Odense University Hospital, quadball player, all-around nerd. Chronically unable to stick to one language. Opinions, terrible puns etc. all my own
This #DIDay, a couple of things where I reduced my dependency on apps: • using a physical planner for my week so it's easier to see the time slots I *do* have • MitID code key (hopefully reduces a pain point if switching to degoogled phone OS) • Basiskort (as physical backup to Rejsebillet for now)
Since I haven't seen it on here: European Quadball Cup Division 2 is coming to Basel this weekend! Games are starting at 9 on Saturday and 8.30 Sunday, and if you can't make it there, there's a livestream too (with yours truly doing some camera handling)
More like the wrath of Bahn, turns out. "This IS the 10.48 to Odense!"
Very important #ESCMIDGlobal2026 update: they still have patches!
Want to talk about the bioinformatics part of how we use Nanopore 16S amplicon sequencing at Odense University Hospital? Catch me at poster 2474 (Area B) at #ESCMIDGlobal2026 at 12.00 today!
#ESCMIDGreenTravel selfie time - getting to #ESCMIDGlobal2026 in style in the Nightjet!
Accountability post for mit nytårsforsæt i år - skal bare liiiige komme af med min choice paralysis... #DanmarkSkifter
Star Trek had plenty of them too. I got a box of Star Trek novels from the Soup Era from a friend of the family’s and they really have some questionable gems.
Starting the last day of #ESCMIDGlobal with some wonderful illustrations by @torstenseemann.bsky.social - I am absolutely borrowing the concept next time I need to explain phylogeny (though I might need to localize it by adding licorice…)
And last year’s dicloxacillin sleuthing getting a follow-up at #ESCMIDGlobal this year: Astrid Rasmussen from SSI on investigating the spread of the resistance plasmids
Catch me at #ESCMIDGlobal today with some results from one year of sequencing at Odense University Hospital’s department of clinical microbiology: how does our WGS-based Salmonella serovar ID hold up to the reference lab’s?
