Firmly believe that the irreducible part of any problem is that people are its solution. Also, that nesting bowls are chaotic evil masquerading as lawful good. Missing my dog, hanging with my cats, and trying to play guitar albeit very badly.
It’s another post about my new bff, and amazing dog, Hazel. Get used to it! This morning we explored the sniffs at our local park. Then she was brave while I left home to run an errand. And she was braver still while I watered the front lawn and plant beds. We are chilling in the side yard now.
Hazel, the dog, played with a series of dogs in the Bark Park this morning, and in the in between times learned the central concept behind Chuck It. She also learned Hagout 201 at our area tap house. She’s pretty exhausted now.
When you adopt a high energy dog that might be a Belgian Shepherd or Malinois/ Husky mix, this is what success looks like mid-afternoon. #Hazel #DogsOfBluesky
We have a new addition to our clan. Meet Hazel. She is a 1 year old bundle of energy. I tired a her out this evening by taking her to the dog park, where she met Mia and Doug and ran and wrestled with them in the off-leash park. She’s conked out on our bed now. (Big thanks to Mia and Doug!)

I am heartbroken. Yesterday Tilly suffered a from sudden, undiagnosed tumor that ruptured in her abdomen. We took her to the emergency vet and had to make the devastating decision to put her down. She passed peacefully at 10 1/2 years of age. Love on your dogs & bask with them in the sun.
This was during our top of duplex, no AC era. After soaking my dog Tilly twice in the shower we checked into a super sketch motel in Edmonds because it was the only place with AC that had a vacancy.
Tilly has decided we live at #PendergastPark now. And also, apparently, I don’t make the rules.
Back from our Tour de Bremerton which included Pendergast Park, a side trip to Winco, a walk on the Bremerton boardwalk, and the obligatory visit to #CafeCorvo for a pup cup and a cortado, Tilly lounges in the shade of the side yard.
Tilly, the dog, is enjoying this sunny day with a breeze. She’s baskmaxxing and catching good sniffs at the same time.
Today I am addressing the longstanding issue of not practicing guitar in the front yard enough.
Mowing the front yard has been paused while Tilly takes a “much needed bask” in the side yard.
We have initial asparagus proof of life in the new garden patch - very exciting! #Gardening #LearnDirt
We took Tilly on a walk in Manchester State Park just north of the Southworth Ferry Terminal. It was very cool.
Indeed, the taproom is quite nice and it’s within 3 miles of the house.
More compelling and competent than or current stupid standoff/inept negotiations with Iran.
Sometimes Spooky Bear, the Kitty, holds war game that involve the bathtub.
Not up to the photographic standard of @thedeerwhisperer.bsky.social, but I had two visitors cut through the side yard and pup into the woods behind the house. One hung out to snack on some Alpenrose leaves
