We got some snow in Boston..... Haven't had to dig my car out to this degree since my college days in the upper peninsula of Michigan... 🤣

2025 was not a great year for me on the whole but I'm finishing it strong. Got a new job and a new (to me) car and moved to a new city where I can start fresh and meet new people and make new friends. Here's to leaving the bad behind and moving toward newer and hopefully better experiences in 2026.

🥳🥳🥳 I recently had to replace my Mini and when I went into the dealership I had to insist on 2024 or older, because Mini went with this touchscreen bullshit for their '25 & '26 models. Seriously, what the fuck is this bullshit? Buttons & levers or GTFO.

The "gear shifter" in a 2025 & 2026 Mini. It's a flip switch, up for reverse, down for drive, with a push button to put it in park.

The dash of a 2025 & 2026 Mini. There's only a touchscreen in the center of the dash, from which you control temperature, radio, navigation, everything. They've removed most of the physical buttons. Your speed is displayed at the top (and also on a glass heads-up display that comes out of the opening just in front of the steering wheel.
This is not fun to drive, it's infuriating. If I can't change the music without taking my eyes off the road, it's a fucking hazard. It's amazing this bullshit is legal and I can't wait for it to go away.
