Normies Say ¡Chinga la migra!

Every billionaire is a policy failure. We keep us safe. Find me at Minneapolis’ finest Somali Walmart. (Any medical story is fictionalized/composite.)
I am not suggesting sexual harassment is funny. However I am suggesting this nugget that the Strib published is:
This is your dril moment. One does not need to concede an inch to these fuckers claiming that hospice kills people. What are you doing promoting this? Why don’t think this is a good moment to be clever?
Science fiction gatekeeping has entered my timeline today. Sigh.
It’s been a long time since I was vegan but this is the sort of shit that makes me think about it again.
In Cleveland. Big storm, traffic lights out in a large swath of the city east of downtown. Night. Nearly died trying to turn left onto Chester heading south on 55th. ~Half the cars were treating it like an all way stop. Utter chaos. Look at all those fucking lanes! Cleveland has too many gd lanes!
Stumbled upon this scene in my kitchen today.
Just watched a car do this right in front of me as I biked thru. Be careful out there. #Minneapolis
For #23Daysof4AD letw celebrate His Name Is Alive. I was ~16 when I bought this album on a whim because it had a cool cover & was 4AD. I had never heard anything like it & have followed HNIA’s genre shifting course since. Jazz. Prog. Beach Boys pop. Electropop. Neo-soul. Freak ambient. Love it.
For #23Daysof4AD I’d like to celebrate the incredible artists I’ve loved that I first encountered due to This Mortal Coil: Big Star/Bell/Chilton, Tim Buckley, Cindytalk/G Sharp, MM O’Hara, Shelleyan Orphan and Emmy Lou Harris.
Delighted people are celebrating #23Daysof4AD which profoundly influenced me in the 80s/90s. This compilation was like a portal to a new world to me. Highlights are Fish by Throwing Muses — frenetic, bizarre, & Cut the Tree by Wolfgang Press. Both are somewhat unusual songs for the bands.
Very beautiful and ornate ice on Cedar Lake. #Minneapolis.
Just an incredible photo here. Alcides Antunes, cropped from the NYT.
Broadly speaking nearly the entire world’s “popular” music at this point is based on music of Afro-Caribbean/Gulf people and their immediate descendants (who migrated north eg Detroit Chicago NYC). It’s wild to imagine. Not just US blues/jazz/R&B but also eg cumbia, reggae, etc.
Check mate “Jamelle”. Charleston is undefeated.
Holy shit. No wonder I’ve been telling people lately “Bluesky has totally changed the last 6 months.” Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #55,407!
