'Bros is like a very anti-drugs band,' Luke is telling me as he tucks into his bone-less beef. 'You know, man,' he is warning me, 'drugs are very, very dangerous. They scare the shit out of me. Cocaine. Evil. Don't do it. I've seen heroin once in my life. My dad [Mr. Alan Goss was a policeman] showed us a bag of heroine after a bust. It makes you think...'

Luke: 'Matt is *this* weak. He's so sensitive...'
Matt: 'Everything affects me. Luke looks after me. He protects me. He's physically trained his body now so that comments and problems don't even get into his brain. Not because he's thick. Because he's trained himself to disregard it. But I'm like a dartboard. Sharp things go in, you know...'
Luke: 'I cry probably three or four times a week. That's my release. But Matt, the other night he was so tense. I was absolutely terrified. He was on the bed and it took us two hours to try and relax his body. He just couldn't move his body at all and it took us six cups of tea to figure it out.'
