My favorite Gil Kane story is that he did the cover for WILDCats/Aliens and drew what the editor called for- Zealot vs an alien. So what Kevin Nowlan, the inker, got was Zealot fighting a 50s looking Mars attacks guy Nowlan had to draw the xenomorph from scratch
Yoshihisa Kishimoto has passed away, the godfather of the beat-em-up genre. He truly was a genius, and created the template of most of my favorite games. Playing his games felt like I was the main character in a movie at a time where most didn’t. Here’s my beat-em-up cover from @hg101.bsky.social
