It was during the fourth season of Star Trek: Enterprise. I was taking William Foster on an illicit tour of our sets. (Studio policy forbade visitors, but we could sometimes sneak a guest onto some of the sets if we were quiet about it.) >>
Look at the cool detail on this closeup of the Klingon bird-of-prey wing, made by ILM for Star Trek III. Love the gas tank "greeblie" details! No wonder TNG/DS9 used this model so often. I shot this photo when the model was on display a Christies in 2006.

Artificial Intelligence is often a useful tool, but it's always important to remember that it doesn't actually understand ANYTHING. Found this posting elsewhere; it's full of AI hallucinations, including the "fact" that Majel Barrett is supposedly Denise's mother!

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of colleague, Tom Purser. Tommy was a key member of the Star Trek production team: Trek's construction coordinator for 18 years, from 1987 thru 2005. He was one of the few who served the entire run of TNG thru the end of Enterprise.
Back in 2017, at the Art Directors Guild's open house at the Scenic Art Dept at Fox. Among the treasures displayed was this scenic backing from Logan's Run, which was released this day (Jun 23) in 1976, 50 yrs ago. These hand-painted backgrounds are treasures of a lost art.
