Wait, when the focus was Taco Bell, the media were using photos of the Taco Bell logo. Now we know it’s Taylor Farms and we’re using a photo of a head of lettuce? Here, use this
Wife and I were planning to go out to a nice dinner. Had settled on Martina, but then realized their open tables were all outdoor. Hemmed and hawed and finally ended up at…
Any idea why the Apple weather app was showing such higher quality air than other sources (including common sense)? These were at the exact same time in the same place.
Having read the article, it seems the word the headline writer might have wanted here was “wary.”
Finally stopped in to Lomabonita in Richfield for lunch and some impulse buys. Food was just terrific.
This is a perfect encapsulation of why Will rubs so many people wrong online. The worldview he demonstrates is ”Will know best and anyone who disagrees is either operating from bad faith or corrupt motives.” To accuse *Ashley* of being “literally pro-segregation“ is egregious and embarrassing.
Just realized I happened to be wearing this as my shuttling-kids-to-soccer-camp dad fit on sham indictment day
Strib watchers: is it very common for the paper to run the same photo for different pieces on consecutive pages?
After taking a zillion photos in the museum, we explored the city. And because it's Europe, it was of course a very simple train ride back to Rome.
It was incredible to see the reverence they still had for the descendants of Americans who fought there. There are U.S. flags all over town. The museum had uniforms with the same 5th Army insignia my grandpa had. One uniform was from Clarence Carlson of Brainerd. I wondered if he knew my grandpa.
And since I'm on the subject, I got to visit Anzio in 2023 with my kids, standing on the same beach the allies stormed in 1944. When I got to the Beachhead Museum, and they realized my grandfather had fought there, they insisted on giving me a certificate honoring his service.
The headline from @racketmn.com in my in-box was much more accurate.
We don’t often get NYT column reprints, but I was very glad to see this from @jamellebouie.net in today’s print StarTribune. Really strong piece warning of the dangers of Dems just trying to go back to “normal” after Trump. It’s among Bouie’s best (which is saying something)
I took this photo on our trip to NZ as an artifact of cross-cultural difference 😂
lol at the Strib editor who added a comma between “Nintendo” and “Switch.” Boomer, I salute you!
