Jackson likes to keep me company as I read in what I call the small reading room in my house.
Some will find the sight of undies and the implications I'm on a toilet [reading, I'll have you know] off putting and not notice how sweet my cat Jackson is that that's one of his very favourite places to curl up in.
Jackson says hi to your kitties. He doesn't mind you think Heater the prettiest cat in the world as long as it doesn't cost him any food.

Not sure if anyone's already posted this, but Kimble gets supremely whiny about getting dragged. 1868 was before he was born, how was he supposed to know. Seriously, he wrote that on Xitter. I reckon he's probably dishonestly playing to his racist, bigoted voters.

Just finished listening to the latest WTYP pod, and that sure sounded like it was rough for you. Glad your city and community are there to pick you up. Me, it's cats. Cat sitting this one at the moment. He's purring his head off just sitting there.
As a crazy trilobite nerd, I'll point out this ledge at the rear of the trilobite which indicates it is upside down (ventral as opposed to dorsal). That ledge does not show up on the dorsal shell. It is part of what is called the 'doublure', where the upper shell wraps around the underside a bit.

A day late, as is my wont, I present an enrolled Kettneraspis williamsi from the lower Devonian Harangan formation of Oklahoma. Prepped by the most excellent Dan Cooper. To my eyes it looks like the bug is doing an impression of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
I have a number of fossil crinoids in my collection. In the Paleozoic, most crinoids were anchored to the sea floor rather than being free-floating. Here's a plate from the Devonian of Lucas County of Ohio with Gilbertsocrinus ohioensis (larger) and Logocrinus brandoni (smaller) crinoids.
