on one hand, this reaction is too much, because CR is generally very good about maintaining their library in every country outside of Asia, CR has the biggest catalog & renew at the highest rates (it's extremely bad form that they don't announce expirations in advance, though)

crunchyroll recently lost the licenses to ~a dozen anime, and so we've seen the home video prices for them skyrocket, a bunch of anger online, and headlines about "Crunchyroll's purge" these are some great anime and people are right to be frustrated, but there's more to it

I also must recommend in the strongest possible terms my buddy John's panel earlier in the day. His panel's name is excellent and yes, I am jealous and yes, people keep asking me if it's me. No, we just look, dress, and act very similarly and both do data-driven anime panels.
