POV: react-dates has 52 THOUSAND dependencies 🤯 for a date-picker? Javascript culture is weird man 😂 discovered this using dependency-radar: npmx.dev/package/depe... really cool new tool, well worth a try 😊
"AI ALL THE THINGS" isn't principled - but rejection isn't either. You can't 10x your attention - you divide that by 10. Not all code deserves your full attention, so offload the low-stakes work: save your focus for what's important. It is just a tool.
looks interesting! 🙂 there is some layout shift, due to word wrap I think? you can probably fix this by rendering at word boundaries instead of tokens also links aren't colored as links at first (maybe by design? I would let them link to # initially to avoid the color shift)
all Kimi plans are "sold out" wtf does that even mean? are they out of server capacity? less than a week after launching K3? I guess they didn't price it right 😌 www.kimi.com/membership/p...
I made this thing which generates interesting color palettes - it has no "wrong" settings, you always get an 11-step palette with equal brightness 🙂 stackblitz.com/edit/vitejs-...
I came up with an improvement to this popular 63-key 60% keyboard layout. I hope somebody steals this idea 😄 www.reddit.com/r/KeyboardLa...
does this feel weirdly passive-aggressive to anyone else? "your issues are not important unless we say they are" or at least like a weirdly broken github workflow? making it *look* like fewer issues 🤨 just tag issues as "new" by default and close them if you don't think they're worth while 🤷♂️
I swear I was trying to type in "duck", but isn't it interesting how the result also includes ducks? (and several bananas, aubergines and sausages)
why do we have two copies of is-yaml version 0.0.68? and who decides what gets labeled as fragile? just anything with yaml in the package name? 😏
as an author of several IOC containers: IOC containers are dumb 😄 the core value is just this: deferring the creation of shared dependencies I've used this is backend and frontend projects - it's actually built into C# so no framework needed there, at all www.typescriptlang.org/play/#code/P...
uh, lets see, two notifications, 1 day and 5 days ago, so... what happened 3 days ago? what is that, an average or something? very useful, makes total sense 🤪
very interesting! thanks 🙂 can you explain this bit here? the examples in the article look very framework dependent? TSRX looks like a JSX alternative, how would it become a Mitosis alternative?
this React hooks pattern has always made me stop 🤔 like, in any other Javascript context, this would be a bug thanks to the terrifying magic of global state and side effects (aka hooks) this "works" we're still creating a new ID on every render, react just ignores it and throws that work away 😖
this is what free and fair elections look like: not a binary left/right choice - multiple parties with different policies and people making actual choices. 9 different parties with significant votes and meaningful influence. this is democracy. your vote matters. honestly proud of our leaders. 🙂♥️
Apple's web site is fucking hilarious it made me sign in two times, with two slightly different looking sign-in screens? okay 🤷♂️ I paid for the subscription but it somehow didn't take it was 79 DKK, but now it's telling me the subscription is 79 DOLLARS!? Apple is vibe coding a little too hard 🤣
Open models are over just as fast as they arrive. I've tried two of these (Minimax M2.5, Kimi K2.5) but I think I'll just skip GLM5 and withdraw from the pursuit of open models for another 3-6 months. There is real progress, but it's slow, and it's never what YouTubers promise every single day. 🙄
I asked Claude, and it called this "a reliable signal for content worth skipping" 😂
but they added a little bevel to the logo and I think they made the blue background slightly darker than the original Twitter icon too no? 😄 (only reason I'd notice is because I keep all the blue apps next to each other...)
this will be the worst thing that's ever happened to the language the *only* thing accomplished by this proposal is to *ban* types from the language, forever if you hate types, vote for this proposal 🤦♂️ dev.to/mindplay/com...
Prettier is an uglifier at some point, someone needs to sit down and write a better formatter this one is never getting better 😌
lol you think those are bad apparently there's a weird contest to have the worst icons imaginable ever since Google came up with these I basically open every app until I find the one I need 😂
wow yeah the conversation is so much more adult and civil and intellectual here on Blue Sky jeez I mean, aren't these the same people who escaped from X-Twitter to get away from the toxicity? same toxic shit here now 😔
wow, BlueSky really doubles down on turning this platform into a read-only medium "do not engage with this content. do not reply. do not even repost with your comments!" are they so obsessed with "control" they've forgotten they were a social media? honestly this is nearing the last drop for me 😔
I genuinely do not understand. if you have to pick the color yourself anyway, what use is this function? 🤷♂️ how hard is to pick black or white? 🤷♂️ would any designer even choose full black or white? 🤷♂️ the article spends more time explaining why you shouldn't use this feature than why you should 🤷♂️
