If you live in Indiana, you always knew there were those people, it is just that they now wear a suit and sit at the table.
The great "I think climate crisis is a hoax" flooding of basementsof 2026. Tried to drive to a friend's house to help and turned around bc the street was a lake. And I live on a hill.
Bumblebee on milkweed. Small things that keep the world going a bit longer.
It is a wildly comfoeting and appealing thought most days now. Hope you can get some rest.
Beginning to look like the "sustainability* initiative (the term a veil behind which racism hid) is being rejected in most areas. #Switzerland
Nature provides. 45 mins of Mulberry harvesting. I will wait for a couple weeks, mix them with black raspberries, and make jam. There are millions of Mulberry trees, and people have forgotten that they taste good. Local, resilient, free food. What is better?
I did not see any coverage of this here... weirdly. But anyway, congrats Canada.
I will take time to relax. I will. I mean it. Doing nothing is underrated for your health.
My reminder that I have been voting on initiatives, referenda, street planning, military service laws, climate and energy policies by mail for over three decades, and for 28 years from across an ocean. By mail! And still no sign of real fraud.
My biodiversity island in a desert of auburban, chemically treated, overmowed lawns. Resist the dirty looks. The bumblebees and toads will love you.
Many people assumed that the wate'water' would never surface. But look no further than Fort Peck to see a catastrophe unfolding since the 1970s. Many stidies on whether injection was/is safe were funded by oil interests. In most cases, they are theoretical. There are mostly no geological data.
Epilogue: the EROI (energy recovered over invested) of new fields is so low that the costs far exceed profits unless oil prices are exorbitant (which curbs demand). We are destroying the world for nothing at this point - except short term greed.
OK, sorry but 7.5 miles/kWh -and yes, not over 40mph, but it was mostly uphill and without teying in any way. That is the best efficieny yet I have seen. So, had to post it.
I would say the tariff threat is by now so beaten that it maybe still evokes a slight chuckle. But there are one trick ponies and there are one trick horse and dog shows, and then there are one trick clowns. Dude. Give it up. Shoo.
I know they wont read it, but it was satisfying to write. (My number formerly belonged to a GOP donor)
The chances that this ends up holding for two weeks are tied to a number of variables not easily controlled, and the guy in the big house thinks he won...
It is 3:43 pm on a Tuesday in April and everybody is waiting to see if the president of the US will give the orders for a genocide he threatened this morning because the war he started is not going too well while his VP is encouraging another nation to resist the EU. Also my plum tree is blooming.
This is the snow drought in the West. Instead of bombing infrastructure elsewhere, investing in some here might have been a much better idea. Or at least not firing people who would have put out the fires in a few months. Or at least not increasing emissions. Or...
That makes me wonder who is trying to sell American citizenship "FOR PAY" and who gets rich off it. All for stopping that, Don.
