You may know me as the one who kept writing monster romances (and also won't stop talking about Beyond Evil) Writing as J. Emery Spiritual Successor out 2024
I am slowly recovering from our last bit of fun for the year But the WOODZ concert was a good time
Someone tell me why Lucifur is staring at me like John Malkovich in Mary Reilly
Look what we have wrought But unironically, the baking soda looks like stars. So pretty 🥺
I have not stopped thinking about this passage in Morsel (by Carter Keane) since I read it the first time 😂
My arthritis is kicking into high gear so you know what that means Time to promote Belar's book! Please enjoy my arthritic vampire hunter and his cranky exploits 🙌 Which just so happens to be 50% off for the Smashwords Summer Sale which you can find right here www.smashwords.com/books/view/1...
8. eXistenZ (1999) The bone gun has haunted me since I saw this in the theater 😂 Still firmly hold this would make a fantastic limited series TV show
7. Mary Reilly (1996) Curse this movie for giving me an unhealthy obsession with Jekyll & Hyde for like 5 years straight. This is the summer I finally read the book too
6. Party Girl (1995) Because I contain multitudes. I'm so glad it's on tubi now so I can watch it again
5. Thirst (2009) Welcome to the first Korean movie I ever watched back in the day 😂 Featuring a vampire priest, a drowning victim threesome, and Song Kang-ho's continued inability to get thru a window
4. Wisdom of Crocodiles (aka Immortality which is a much less interesting title) I can safely say that Jude Law plays one of the strangest types of vampires I've ever seen. It's a shame this movie (and the book it's based on) is so difficult to find
3. Crimson Peak (2015) Love me a gothic with a really strong color scheme. 👌 I don't care that the clothes aren't always strictly period appropriate. They're still gorgeous and lush
2. Sympathy for Mr Vengeance (2002) I can't believe I waited so long to watch these movies. What was I doing for the last 20 years?
1. The Crow (1994) Gotta start at the top with the movie that built at least 70% of my writing aesthetic. I love a really satisfying vengeance arc
Okay, I have some time. I want to play too. Let me talk about the weird movies I love
Daisy's face after I asked her if she wanted to eat a man's kidneys She's been watching Sympathy for Mr Vengeance
This whole scene is funnier because the screen shots look like it should be some kind of shitpost about Beyond Evil But no. It's just the show 😂
I love that they apparently hire this man just to sit like this in every single thing
Oh yeah! I've been going there for about a year because that's where the library holds their horror book club. Everything is horror themed and the menu has gluten free and vegan options 😂 They also host regular drag shows and local punk and metal bands It's one of my favorite places
I said I was going to do a murder if the tornado sirens went off ONE MORE TIME this week so Who's getting it?
