WOOHOO! Another storm started about 40 mins ago with rain now expected through 11:30 PM. It also seems like we are indeed achieving an actual monsoonal weather pattern and more normal temps! YAY! Here's hoping the 2nd half of the season is much better than the first half—cooler w/lots of rain! 🤞🤞
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains. -------- Tough given brill talent & stellar 90s albums, especially Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill & Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, but for me the 90s were all about Vai. ❤️ all of his 90s LPs!
UGH! We hit 97° today. 🥵 Thankfully, a cold front is moving in now & bringing the monsoonal flow with it! YAY! This means that while we will still hover in the low 90°s & upper 80°s for the rest of the week, our temps should become more comfortable once the daily afternoon storms become the norm.
Today's high was 20° cooler than yesterday's & tomorrow will apparently be the last day of Spring as we jump directly into summer. 😬 Yet another day of high winds & the threat of wildfires thanks to the warmest winter on record with almost no precipitation. On the plus side, El Niño is coming!
Our day will be balmy by comparison, but we're only on the western edge of this huge front affecting so many states. Mostly rain late afternoon today & becoming snow after 8pm. Only 3-6" of snow expected thru midday Sun, but likely black ice under the snow in some areas. I'm staying in, too!
BRRR, Pengy! 🥶 I just checked, and it looks like our total accumulation here is about 3-1/2". Our current temp, even with windchill, is balmy by comparison! Stay warm!
A surprise snowfall to go w/our quick dip back into freezing temps. Current temp = 15° (4° w/windchill). High expected to be 32°. Tiny flakes & only about 1/4" accumulation. I don't expect much more than that as it not supposed to last until 8 AM. Back in mid-to-upper 40°s starting tomorrow.
