Moe’s mom, cyclist, music professor, foodie, can’t function without coffee. Views not of my employer.
Unpacking and sort thru things that have been in bins for up to 20 years. Here are some gems:
His Nibs is awake and pacing for hours in all his full moon dementia glory. God help him if I don’t get to sleep soon. He may be sleeping on the lanai. 🤦🏻♀️
Where I keep really important things while I am in unpacking hell and don’t yet have a work computer.
This is the most wild & inappropriate way to solicit clients. I’ve had 3 sales pitches from this assclown, Simon Golden, via email. Two are regarding a post I wrote about a former mentor and professor who passed recently from cancer. Additionally, they all scream AI written and bot-generated.
In one picture, tell me you’re an academic who moved two weeks before starting a new job. My Advice: set up the most important things first. 1) dog water bowl, 2) adult beverages.
Now every college campus needs to do this…or start handing out tickets to them more so than parking tickets.
Welcome to my new series: I Won’t Miss Lakeland, but I Will Miss… My chosen fam at Cycledelic—897 rides over five years. The one place that truly felt like home while living here. And the 10/10 smoothies!
Welcome to my new series: I Won’t Miss Lakeland, but I Will Miss… Born and Bread Italian Baguette, cold brew and sourdough loaf.
My parents are babysitting their friend’s grandkids and this was our text thread last night: (Open to see all) 🤣
I missed seeing an eruption on Mt Etna by one week. I’d like to think my big rage energy from trying to buy a home fueled it. Here she is blowing some brown smoke behind my mom and me.
I just fixed a plumbing problem by myself, left-handed, blind and contorted. I definitely deserve a very cold beer tonight or at the very least, ice cream. This was way harder than it may seem.
Treated myself to a big girl drill which was $80 off at Lowe’s this week. This is going to make moving so much easier.
Finally back home…well home for another few weeks. This is the most wild summer ever. Glad to take a rest day before the final stages of packing and moving begin. And most importantly, seeing all my people before I move a few hours south.
Watching the World Cup in Europe is a whole other special experience. Especially when there are rainbows.
The puppy prince has taken over grandpa’s throne. Even at 16 he finds the strength to leap onto his most desired places to snooze.
Happy 16th Birthday to Moe! He celebrated today wth Buc-ee’s dog treats and is looking forward to French fries on the road today. Despite staring off in corners to communicate with his great grandhoomans he still gets the zoomies after baths. I love this little nugget.
He’s turning 16 on Monday yet still believes he has the best parkour skills on the block.
I like getting up in the middle of the night so that I can sleep in come morning…
If I could live in Zion NP, I would. There’s a 137% chance I’ll be returning sooner than later.
This old man turns 16 in a week! Moe’s got some dementia and paces a lot but he pauses to say hi as he stakes out the house.
Attention: is any woman in the F gates of Minneapolis missing half their eyelash? If so, it’s in the first bathroom.
It’s 🍻:30 in the Grand Canyon. 6 miles on Bright Angel yesterday and nearly 6 on the rim trail today. 10/10 recommend.
He insists on sleeping in his too small bed but keeps falling out so I’m now tasked to holding his head with my foot.
I peed on the couch and woke up mom out of a deep snoozle at 540am, so she responded by giving me the smallest bed in the world to nap on.
My coffee tastes extra good today. And the company is even better with my wittle old man.
I’ll miss this office and the lake view so much. But I won’t miss the college ghosting me on my loan app paperwork this week. I really wanted to leave saying good things about this place but the front and back ends of my contract were grounds for employee negligence & contract violations.
