Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 (2008) It redoes a bunch of stuff from S1 but worse, the 'A' plot screws around for the middle 10 episodes, and the tech leap makes the mech battles lose weight. But still some real Death Note-esque hijinks, and the ending is one for the record books.
The Backrooms (2026) I'm very bad with horror so this was incredibly stressful, but it was REALLY good. A real movie-movie to sit with.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (Season 1, 2006, Rewatch) Propulsive and absurd, putting school hijinks in this is one of the best ideas they had. Clear that they had a different sense of the underlying stuff than what they eventually did in R2 (R2 I think is generally a lot worse).
I'm REALLY glad i caught this fish now, cause uhhhhh then next time is up is literally THREE MONTHS AWAY #FFXIV
Fate/Zero (2011) On rewatch, you see all the things done to get to F/SN that don’t quite work. And the way women in this show get treated is uh… not great. Definitely an Urobuchi show that aged worse than Madoka. I won’t recommend it to others, but even so, I still enjoyed it. Amazing Kajiura OST.
End of Evangelion (1997). Hey, you know what the perfect thing to do when you get home from a trip is, even before unpacking? Watch this. It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling doooowwwn. Heart rending and life affirming, in all its forms. A perfect triumph of film.
BLAME! (1997-2003) After many years of seeing gorgeously stark, out-of-context spreads of megastructures from this manga, I finally get my mind together to blaze through it. Astounding aesthetics and atmosphere; I'll remember this imagery for a long time.
Good haul tonight, even one caught on first cast! #FFXIV Madam Butterfly, Armorer, Thousand Fin, Lily of the Veil, Flarefish
three more for a short fishing evening is good enough for me: Bloody Red Bonytongue Bokuden Argonautica #FFXIV
Two tonight! And went after Paikiller but instead got SIX of the other !!! fish at the same hole. #FFXIV
I had changed into a new fishing glam but was having no luck catching any fish, so I changed back into my usual and caught 4 of the next 5 big fish I went after, so uh I guess I'm back to that one LMAOOOO #FFXIV
no Drepanaspis but at least the fish that triggers the intuition window.
I decided on a whim that I wanted to see if I could get the Big Fish achievement in FFXIV before Evercold releases. This thread will serve as a tracker for that!
Realized I had a picture of Xau with a similar angle to Meteor’s in the new teaser trailer lmao #ffxiv
Girls und Panzer: Der Film (2015) (rewatch) Still amazing that this is up there with Fury Road in terms of percentage of a movie that's pure action. You Will Believe That Tanks Can Fly.
Chainsaw Man (2018-2026) Uh, yeah, I guess it's over now! I think the abrupt ending will age very well. I wish that Asa got more interiority. But I am glad that Fujimoto is free to write other things, and that Denji and Asa are free of the curse of being the protagonists of a Shonen manga.
Gatchaman Crowds & Insight (2013, 2015) Incredibly ambitious shows - dropped S2 when it aired because it felt too depressing, but 10 years of the digital world being predicted by S2 has made it seem extremely apropos. Wish Rui got more focus in S2 and that Rizumu was a very different character.
Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (2026) I FINALLY get to watch it and yeah okay this one is going right up there to the top. Even being spoiled on the twists diminished none of its terrifying powers! Guess that's how good things can be. Could feel the world shifting under me as I watched it.
Look, if you say that your affiliated people aren’t just right wingers and your primary counterexample is Larry Summers, you are fooling nobody but yourself.
should post this new shot from ffxiv REALLY happy with unlocked glam options
Revolutionary Girl Utena (1997) FINALLY watched this, and of course it's absolutely perfect. Gut-wrenching, metaphorical, and as ahead-of-its-time today as it was when it released. And also an incredibly funny and well put-together series in its own right! This one is going right up there.
R1999/FFXIV Spoilers: Both are people who care deeply about others in a way that aggrieves them, don't fit into the ideals of their respective greek-themed collectivist societies, and turn 'villain' after learning disturbing hidden truths about themselves and the nature of the world.
