“Written off as half-dead, the video game industry is making a comeback,” main Italian gaming website Multiplayer wrote, drooling over Geoff Keighley’s summer hype train. For @artribune.bsky.social, I talk about the crisis facing the industry.
There's also a new Margini videoludici (At videogame margins) column, about an explicitly "anti-generative AI" videogame, @apehardware.bsky.social's Cognitive Reconquista.
Today in Italian communist newspaper Il Manifesto I write about @molleindustria.org's new videogame, Future? No Thanks!, which was supposed to have already been released but is instead stuck in Valve's review limbo. "The Gramscian solarpunk of Future! No Thanks!".
"Twenty-five years since September 11, 2001, more than 1,000 days into the genocide in Gaza carried out by Israel, and after months of more or less overt U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran and Lebanon, I’m replaying the first Assassin’s Creed game." My first for @unwinnable.com.
I curated a new feature story exploring GTA V in contemporary art for Italian art magazine @artribune.bsky.social and it's available online and in PDF. Contributions from Valentina Tanni, Laura Cocciolillo and me. (image: Leonardo Magrelli, West of Here, 2021)

My latest for Swiss public radio broadcaster RSI: I talked about about @meiacalca.bsky.social's Panthalassa, a point-and-click adventure game where Gnosticism meets marine ecology.
On Italian magazine Limina I discuss what we actually do with these digital toys called videogames.
The podcast of my latest gaming recommendations for Kappa (Radiotelevisione svizzera in lingua italiana, RSI) is now online: I talk about Find Your Words by @capybaragames.com, a videogame about non-verbal communication.
