Poland Diaries: Jagiellonian Univ in Krakow @JagiellonskiUni since 1364 AD have their own winery - which allows them to offer courses in wine making. I liked name & label of their wines ‘Novum’ - a new thing ‘Solaris’ w heliocentric system proposed by univ alum Copernicus!
Poland Diaries: It would be intimidating for anyone giving lecture in Collegium Novum As u have @Jagiellonka_UJ graduates, such Copernicus who introduced ‘heliocentric’ system & Pope John Paul II, the King & Queen who started university in 1364 AD looking down at the podium!
Poland Diaries: Thank you Prof Pawel & Prof Ewa for inviting us for a nice dinner at ‘Hawełka’ - a Polish restaurant since 1876 I enjoyed the ambience, conversations & also the ‘Halloumi Sandwich’ (being a vegetarian) at the dinner

Poland Diaries: Had the opportunity to chair a panel on “Medical Experiments & Clinical Trials” today @JagiellonskiUni #JS2026 We had an eclectic experts w experience in clinical trails, medical device innovations & w professional organizations Goal: draft an opinion article for publication!
Poland Diaries: Among several museums in Krakow, Poland, I found the painting “The Lady with an Ermine” from Leonardo da Vinchi at Czartoryski Museum very interesting. Fact: It is the second of only four surviving portraits of women (including Mona Lisa) painted by Leonardo
Poland Diaries: Accidentally came across this square with ‘Fixed Metal Chairs’ located few miles from Old Town in Krakow, Poland. Found out that it is the ‘Bohaterów Getta Square’, main gathering point for Jews before deportation during World War II - it’s a memorial now 🥲!
Poland Diaries: Main Square in Krakow is beautiful & attracts all the tourists. Liked the way, local post office has setup shop in the main square. I was able to buy postcards, write at one of the cafes & get stamped on site & mail the cards in the mailbox next to cart. Cool!
