Support local bookshops on Oct 7 and 8 instead of Amazon.

Dear Reader,

You have more power than you think you do. Did you know that over the span of fifteen years, as Amazon grew, half of our local bookstores closed? Then, in 2020, we rallied behind them. Every year since, hundreds more bookstores have opened than closed.

Every day, our choices, however small they seem, shape the future. We are choosing a human future, where local bookshops thrive and foster literacy, culture, community, and understanding.

These next two days are Amazon’s Prime Days. Or, as we call them, our Anti-Prime days. It’s when we stick up for ourselves and our bookseller friends. Let’s flip the script on Amazon and support local bookstores on October 7 and 8. Tell your friends.

Seriously, tell your friends, we need them too.
