Dreamer, killer of fruit trees, general mess.
Also from Naarm, an old, old helmet on display in the Hellenic Museum, which is a favourite.
I'm tired of being sad. Here's a pic from the last time I was happy, in Naarm, back in April, at the NGV
The camellias. They are quite magnificent this year. I don't know why. I wish I had heart enough left to take proper joy of them.
To lose one cat is a misfortune, to lose 2 will probably get me in trouble. Dear old grumpy pants Blue had a bad stroke. I buried him with a sprig of lavender and camellia blossums. The cat who came to dinner, and stayed for the messy garden.
Going to bed exhausted. Dug a deep hole and buried my darling old trickster cat. The effort not to cry is shattering.
This was excellent. A real thought lrovoking discussion on heroes, monsters a d bad behaviour
Shrine of Remembrance, Narrm. I remember my grandmother's favourite brother, the one who came back from the war, never the same. He sat on a park bench, shuffling cards, day after day.
Unsolicited duck pic. Yesterday, I went to the show. Olympic Park, Wangal Country
Went to the art gallery yesterday on a rainy morning. I liked it. www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/whats-on/exh...
What else am I going to see on the Ides of March? 😁 Love Bell. Being a touring teaching company they cleave to clarity over cleverness (if you've seen Hamlet Camp you know of which I speak). Not that they're not clever, it's just, well, the play's the thing.
I also crammed in a matinee of Art. Damon and Toby were excellent, but Rox had them laughing all the way to the back of the Ros just with the way he stood in front of the painting. Supreme shoulder acting.
I thought Grace Jones was most pop star, but Jarvis is all hold my English breakfast tea. Pulp were fantasmagorical. Smashing concert, even in the rain.
Got a pomegranate off the tree. Why yes, my pomegranate is the sweetest, juiciest pomegranate.
Friday was hectic. Up hours before dawn for frantic kitchen scrubbing. Plumber arrives to replace down pipe. Much noise and dust. Meanwhile urgent last minute jobs. Then off to the Art Gallery to see Dangerously Modern. Very different to the SA version. www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/collection/w...
Today, it’s a Bridgerton mini marathon with a Bridgerton-themed box of sweets from the Cheesecake Shop. It made it fun, lots of fun. Also, the red velvet lamington 😋
