Author, THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE:
This is the law in BC, after a young station attendant was killed pursuing a gas thief
I have long predicted that this is what is going to happen in BC; posting this here so that I can, a year from now, tell everyone that I told them so
Probably very few! Is it very prestigious among 5 or 6 very important people? Because its writers clearly aren't in it for the money
This is what I was watching while Canada was losing a soccer game.
www.biv.com/biv-rss-news... This is the reference. Quoting someone's speech back at them is not defamation.
Happy national holiday from, as far as I know, the only country where balls of ice fall out of the sky during tropical weather events
From a procedural standpoint, it was a smaller deal than it is in the US
aaaaaaaaaaand, scene. Did more than half of this on my borked bike, too
Gonna use this as my new example to illustrate the difference between "statistically significant" and "big"
My reflex is to defend international food over domestic food, but then I clicked, and LOL *come on*. Tables at Brentwood OTOH has an international food court with high-quality ethnic food at reasonable prices.
Possibly the most Vancouver 2026 question I have ever asked: what is the appropriate course of action if you find a naloxone kit in a park?
Can we please take a moment to appreciate Japadog, which has somehow managed to elevate the hot dog and the bento box in one go
Getting from one place in the Ottawa suburbs to another place in the Ottawa suburbs be like
I can't argue with that. Literally; I have no idea what the claim is.
www.timescolonist.com/local-news/u... This boils my blood. AI cheating is a huge challenge, and we're not going to be able to put that toothpaste back in the tube. But it would help if universities didn't dangle the forbidden fruit in front of their students.
1. Thinking of u 2. I kind of want Israel to open Gaza's borders to western shit-disturbers, not because Gazans need the tiny amount of aid from the flotilla activists, but because I need to see some YouTuber get the locals to react to clips of Drag For Palestine
This is fun but I'm techbro-level annoyed that it's a two-dimension grid when the first and third quadrants are largely inaccessible
I can't with this. Bundism was non-Zionism, not antizionism. It was "let's focus on strengthening Jewish communities in the diaspora, where 99% of us live, instead of in the Holy Land." It wasn't "f*ck Israel and by extension the 50% of Jews who live there", which AFAICT is what 2026-era Bundism is.
This article is 1) 5.5 years old, and 2) satire, so I realize that we're all supposed to LOL rather than point out that Alberta students get top scores in reading proficiency relative to the other provinces, and are second only to Quebec in math.
My 14yo niece drew this picture of her classroom for her art class.

well ACTUALLY, everyone else is supposed to use ALL of the pronouns (I didn't ace the mandatory gender training for nothing): studentbehaviorblog.org/the-power-of...
This was the bike path after a big rainfall a few years ago. A few hours later, I biked the same route home and the path was dry.
