Some very, deeply, devastating news - this beloved little one became very ill earlier this week, and suffered a fall from the nest 2 days ago. The hawk was brought to Wild Bird Fund, but did not make it through the night. I’m so sad. Here they are, just a week ago, eyes to the skies ❤️🪽🪶

I was watching the skies over the East River tonight looking for birds, and then this happened

8 airplanes/fighter jets in the sky, with arcs of red, white, and blue smoke trailing behind them
