Last night on the island. Heading home tommorow. Took some pics of their lighthouse from across the harbour but hate my camera doesn't do the view justice
It's nice to see this car finally make a reappearence in the Forza series after last appearing in Motorsport 4 back in 2011.
Late night movies from last night I was simply too tired to post about afterwards: Eyes of Laura Mars and Alice, Sweet Alice Both films considered essentially American made giallo flicks that follow many of those same story and filming techniques. Of the two I think I enjoyed Eyes a lot better.
Early movie of the evening: Ghostwatch Legitimately might be one of my favourite psuedo-documentary found footage horror films now 👀 It did take a while to get genuinely creepy but the background sightings of the Mr. Pipes ghost throughout were actually scary (even if I learned I missed more!)
Yeah like there's just so many hits on Signals I enjoyed over what was on Moving Pictures (though I still really liked that one too!). Like to me I don't think there was a single song on it I'd consider a miss. I even ranked both in S Tier when I did my album breakdown of them!
Movie of the night The House With The Laughing Windows Holy. Shit. Never has a movie so thoroughly made me feel this increasingly uneasy over its runtime as this film did. It has an overwhelming sense of dread once things start going south that NEVER lets up even at the end.
Movie of the night: The Burning (1980) Absolutely see why folk consider this such a good slasher film nowadays. It is brilliantly bloody in ways only Tom Savini can pull off (also why I love The Prowler from this time and Intruder from later in the 80's).
Tonight's movie (I know these have become somewhat frequent and I hope it ain't boring y'all): The Changeling (1980) Just...wow. Wow. Expertly creepy when it needed to be with an almost thriller edge to it. I had always heard good things about this film before so glad I watched it finally!
Late night movie for the evening: Your Vice Is A Locked Door And Only I Have The Key One of the sleazier giallo films I have watched since jumping down this rabbit hole and the only one thus far based, partly, on a literary work (The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe).
Thinkin' about my huge ass wolf gal again tonight~ Need to have her stompin' around all huge with some of y'all, or bein' huge and knockin' back drinks like no one's business 💜
Movie night post: Once Upon A Time in the West Given I watched Leone's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly last night, figured before I gave the rest of the Dollars trilogy a peep I'd peep the first in the Once Upon A Time trilogy instead and...wow, what a ride. Much slower and more somber of a film
There's a scene where he just shows off his ass in full that I cannot find the still for but no seriously dude gets it
Final movie, and another one I had never seen before now aside from the "I'm a FURRY" scene as a meme, of the night is Rock-a-Doodle and OH MY GOD THIS FUCKIN' WIDE ASS FAT FOX 👀💜💜💜💜💜💜
"What would your otter self drive?" Probably my other realistic dream car I'd love to own, an '86 Ford Mustang SVO (also introduced to by the Forza series ironically). Fox body Mustangs are the best they have ever looked 😤
SO, because of Forza Horizon 6 being out and because I've gone on record before on saying what my favourite dream car is my buddy @spikesketches.bsky.social gifted me this piece of my racc with his ride, a Subaru BRAT (2nd Gen)! I am SO very blown away & also very appreciative they did this for me!
Plus there was this room on the fourth floor that had a very bizarre acoustic problem (sound was muffled within it compared to the other 3 rooms near it) that similarly unnerved me and, while I didn't take these from the EXACT angle, it's still creepy how one is noticeably darker than the other.
My sibling had more luck with the paranormal encounters (they got pinched and touched a few times) but most I physically got was feeling my ponytail get pulled from behind. I did however at least capture a photo of possibly spooky goings on.
Had a neat day out with my grandmother and sibling taking a tour of the old county hospital in Williamson, WV (also known as the Old Hospital on College Hill). Of all the abandoned and supposedly haunted places I visited this was absolutely the one that was the creepiest!
