What a glorious day here in Newport, RI. It's Newport Folk Festival weekend, and I am the guide for tonight's ghost tour. I'll be fully goth tonight, but today, it's sunshine in my Garden of Nocturne (with Forbidden Delights) by the pink pool. I did wear coconut oil for the picture.

Happy Body Painting Day! I'd love to play with paints, but today is opening day of my next show- Shakespeare's "Love's Labours Lost" at the Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield, RI, so I will paint myself as the Spaniard Don Adriano de Armado using costumes and words to color me.

The only way to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom is to continue their fight to preserve freedom. If you are fighting for your freedom and not mine, you are fighting for privilege, for fascism. Freedom means freedom for all, not just for some. Justice for ALL or it is empty.
The weird thing is how often I attract wonderful people of all ages like a modern Pied Piper. I don't even mean the people on my tour, but afterwards, I sit in the graveyard at Trinity Church and have a thermos of rose tea and honey, and new (living) friends join me among the headstones.
