I’ve always found it interesting to compare the performances of the different actresses. I think the 2002 tv movie Carrie was too distressed all the time. As much I enjoy several of Chloe’s performances in other films, she was just miscast as Carrie in 2013.
Yeah, I came here to mention Predator 2. Danny Glover is glistening in every scene.
We won’t be doing an episode on Supergirl, so here are some brief thoughts.
I don’t post many pictures of myself, but here’s a one of me today in my Jurassic Park T-shirt to celebrate today’s episode. It’s the movie that sparked my fascination with genetics in high school and ultimately set me on the path to becoming a scientist. I figure that warrants a blurry photo.
A lot of viewers seem to be walking away talking about Courtney Grace’s brief role as an unarmed news anchor in Disclosure Day. She’s a real life former news anchor. So now I’m curious: If aliens were officially revealed tomorrow, who would you want breaking the story on TV, internet, or radio?
One thing all of us agreed on in our Disclosure Day discussion: Emily Blunt is a major cause of celebration. Not just because she gets to show off in scenes speaking multiple languages in the film, but because of how she portrays someone dealing with unresolved trauma.

On our episode on Bumblebee, we talk about the changes made to the character design. I loved the change! It made him look closer to his G1 character. The Bay film designs were always too sharp and had too many exposed gray metal parts in my opinion. #Transformers #MovieSky #FilmSky
#LetterboxdFriday My #LastFourWatched was a mixed bag. Masters of the Universe - Essentially Thor: Ragnarok 2. Often too silly. Backrooms - Cool set design but empty conference rooms don’t scare me. Pressure - Nice historical film with good performances. Hungry - Way too serious.
I learned yesterday that Hungry was only getting a one-night theatrical release, so naturally I had to go see it! Was it good? No. Did someone in the film say, “That’s one hungry hippo!”? Sadly, no. Did I smile every time that giant hippo appeared menacingly in front of someone? Absolutely.
I don’t like this movie because E.T. looks too gross. There nothing cute or cuddly about him. As a kid, I hated seeing him. Plus, he just looks progressively worse as the film goes on. This shot of him passed out was too much for me. It’s like stumbling upon a victim of a crime.
Submitted for your approval: A woman becomes the victim of a lonely man who wants her. Not as a partner. Not as an equal. But as someone who exists solely to love him. She will suffer while he learns that control is not intimacy. Tonight’s episode: Obsession. #TheTwilightZone
