Missouri Workers Center
@moworkers
We are low-wage workers, Black, white and brown, urban and rural standing together across the state of Missouri to fight racism and win economic justice for all
Pastor Erika Gravely speaking now on the importance of community coming together and how we continue the work of Glendy and other leaders.
Dr. Chris Kilbride, Ritenour School District Superintendent, on how we keep our communities safe from ICE terror and their campaign of violence, separation and fear. We need our leaders to lead, not bend to authoritarianism.
"My job above all other items is to protect all 16,000 people who live here. And the thousands that work here. And the thousands who visit us... I don't believe signing a 287g agreement provides them with any comfort or safety. We will not sign that agreement."
Milton, leader with MWC Fuerza OC, speaks about Glendy and the fight for immigrant justice in Missouri.
Yery, leader with MWC Fuerza OC speaking to workers and neighbors here at Overland City Hall to remember Glendy Perez and her husband Nixon.
We are gathered at Overland City Hall for a vigil hosted by Fuerza organizing committee members with MWC to honor and celebrate the lives of Glendy Perez, Fuerza member, and her husband Nixon.
After 11 hours of the longest meeting ever: the Armory data center permit got re-approved with bare-minimum environmental conditions. The win is that it goes to the Board of Aldermen to vote next. So tell your Alderman to Vote NO. A no vote restarts the process so there are #NoMODirtyDataCenters
Early voting is open. Election Day is August 4th. No excuses. No waiting. Missouri, it's time. 🗳️ #Missouri #ElectionDay #EarlyVoting #August4th #MoVotes
Strength. Confidence. Poise. That's Iana McCallister. That's Missouri Workers Center. That's what community leadership looks like when it's real. #MissouriWorkers #WorkerPower
Nobody hands workers power. You organize for it. You show up for it. You win it.
Thursday at 2:30pm be part of a Conversations with Cori: Climate & Data Centers edition. Big Tech wants Missouri's water, our power, and our tax dollars — and they want to decide without us. If we're paying, we deserve a say. RSVP & join the conversation: www.mobilize.us/coribush1/ev...
It's True. This country belongs to the people who build it, who clean it, who teach it, who heal it, who show up for it every single day — not to the greedy few who'd rather hoard it. Every worker who stands up proud in these moments is how we will build a better future together. #MissouriWorkers

The mayor’s response to the stadium petition is deeply disrespectful & undemocratic The will of the people is not some obstacle to get around Sorry @mayorq.bsky.social, you don't just get to decide to ignore us. You and @royals.com billionaire John Sherman are no kings. #NoKings #RoyalTaxScam
“Authoritarianism is happening right in our backyard, y’all. We can’t wait for these things to just magically change. We need to tax the rich and win an economy that puts workers over billionaires!”
🗞MWC leader and Kalid's Coffee worker Shayne Clegg in @npr.org: “Workers in this country are fed up. We're tired. We're facing a lot of issues from this current authoritarian regime that we are under. Billionaires are getting all of the control. Workers are suffering.”
All of us deserve to live in healthy communities, make a good living, and have a say-so in the decisions that affect our lives. When tech billionaires threaten those freedoms, the Show-Me state is ready to show them: The many ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏽will defeat the money ❌🎩!
We blared speakers outside government buildings and @evergypower.bsky.social headquarters, to give them a taste of their AI data centers’ noise pollution. We led teach-ins, car caravans, and protests to call out lawmakers who side with developers over their constituents.
🗣️No billionaires in our backyards! 🗣️ On May Day, suburban, urban, and rural Missourians said loud and proud: we don’t want dirty data centers that threaten our jobs, our water and energy, and our way of life. #NoMODirtyDataCenters #WorkersOverBillionaires
“We CAN’T and WON’T let a fascist regime win the day!” MWC leader and City Market Coffee worker Mike Vanasse riled up the crowd at our May Day mass rally in Kansas City. As a former US army medic, Mike can tell working people are battle-ready. #MOworkers #WorkersOverBillionaires
Missouri and America belong to US, the workers who make it all run. We joined thousands of organizations nationwide to 🛑shut it down🛑 on May Day. And we won’t stop fighting until we finally win a country that puts workers over billionaires!
And they’re right to be scared: because when workers fight, we win. If you’re ready to join the fight, sign up here: moworkers.org 📷 Photo Credit (Image 6): Cody Boston, True To Form Media #MOworkers #WorkersOverBillionaires #noMOwork
Yesterday was a wake-up call for the bosses, billionaires, and bigoted politicians. They’re realizing that working people — Black, white, and brown; native and newcomer; queer, straight, cis, and trans; urban, rural, and suburban — are ready to take America back.
We proved that working people all over Missouri and America are willing to do *whatever* it takes to: make the wealthy pay what they owe, end ICE terror, and win a real multiracial democracy where WE call the shots.
Across the state, thousands of workers, students, immigrants, electeds, and community members withheld our economic participation, got loud, and took bold action to win a country that put workers ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏽over billionaires ❌🎩
🚨BREAKING🚨THOUSANDS of Missourians are marching to demand our country put workers over billionaires!
