Phil's dad, Maximilian I, definitely had The Jaw. Some even say Maximilian's great-great-uncle, Duke Rudolph IV, had The Jaw as well:
Without saying your age what is your favorite movie from the year you turned 18.
Aww man, only just learning about the death of Pat Oliphant, one of the greatest editorial cartoonists of all time. Sadly, Ward Sutton's remarks are all too true: www.dailycartoonist.com/index.php/20...
I found a great biography of Florine Stettheimer, fabulous New York Jewish painter, by Barbara Bloemink! Here, Florine painted her sister Ettie languidly floating next to a burning Christmas tree, and as she wrote in her diary, "The Xmas tree is an outcome of the burning bush of Moses." 😂
#America250 She's an icon, she's a legend, she is the moment! #BrooklynBridge
#America250 🇺🇸 Did you know that, during the American Revolution, Haitians fought for Patriots in Georgia and Black Cubans fought the British in New Orleans and Florida?!? Learn about Black and Latino Patriots, wherever you get your podcasts: www.spreaker.com/episode/seas...
I got to see the Royal Standard of Ur when it came to the Met in 2003, and it was fun seeing some of the most ancient Ruedas in art:
I remember my Dad saying once "Only the Vatican has COMPLETE Roman statues!" and then I saw them in person and sure, they all had work done.....

Today is #9deAbril, 78 years since the start of La Violencia in #Colombia, which forever changed my Dad's life and then mine. I've never seen this before: art inspired by el 9 de abril! books.scielo.org/id/94bg9/pdf... Shared by the artist Edgar Humberto Alvarez @seloexplicoconplastilina
My #RootsTech talk is available on-demand! I think now it finally sunk in how #FamilySearch gave me a global stage to talk about histories and #genealogy that are usually ignored. I am immensely grateful. Watch now: www.familysearch.org/en/rootstech....
I realized my #RootsTech talk is exactly 100 years since the death of Paul Davis, my Ellis Island immigrant ancestor. Fitting, since I needed 20+ years of research to find his original Jewish surname! Watch my talk on LATINO #GENEALOGY, Sat. March 7 at 5pm ET: www.familysearch.org/en/rootstech...
"There's a snake on our family crest, because their progenitor married an enchanted woman who turned into a snake" -- sure, why not, sneak that nonchalantly into the middle of your #genealogy, Juan Florez de Ocariz...
To find out how #FamilySearch can launch your own [potentially disturbing] #genealogy rabbit hole, check out my #RootsTech talk on Saturday, March 7 at 5pm ET! It's free to sign up and watch: www.familysearch.org/en/rootstech...
"Francisco Diaz Menacho, who for having chubby legs, was called Fat Legs (brother of Bartolomé Diaz Menacho, who was one-eyed)" The casually cruel Latino nickname, a tradition going back centuries 😂 Juan Florez de Ocariz's Genealogias del Nuevo Reino de Granada, Vol. 2, Arbol 40, sec 63 #Genealogy
You're RIGHT, Ancestry, I need to chase down that religious Jewish marriage that would have never been recorded by Austrian officials... @pymundgenealogy.com
