I was thinking of this chart when thinking of "The Odyssey" last night. Homer's version was probably mainly Man vs. Gods, but Nolan brought in Man vs. Society. But maybe there's also Man vs. Reality, because, really, a Cyclops? Men turned into pigs? Surrealism ain't new; it's always been in myths.
Oatmeal is looking for a good publicist to get the message out that he’s a good boy.
I've done this in Wash DC, New Orleans, Detroit, Chicago, and will do so in NYC later this summer. It is amazing.
I have my dangerous electrical bike, a number of regulars, and this lil' foldy Tern goblin. Weekend trail ride, so many trees down after the windstorm.
Seriously, you got a camera, you got a cat, you got internet. Why you gotta have the AI do it all for you? It makes Napoleon sad. Actually, he DGAF, but if his brain could work, it would make him sad.
My car. Can't go faster than 28 mph, but really, for your usual 5 - 10 mile daily runs, it can't be beat. $3,000, has paid for itself over the past three years. In most situations, more convenient than any enclosed 4-wheel thing. Winter's worst weather and stupid drivers are its only enemies.
Mine is our second car. See this? It has been my car for three years. No insurance, no gas, it has paid for itself.
Three years ago today I got this thing. No insurance, no gasoline, top speed of 28 MPH (I still gotta spin my feets around real fast to get to that).
Wife bought me both rear and front cams after someone we know was in a horrifying hit-and-run. That rider had cameras, but didn't have them on that day. I only get close-passers, and fun things like this.
He takes this question and makes it something culture-war, woke-coddling-of-students, nothing at all to do with... WHY DO THEY DO THIS LIKE THIS AHHHHH....
We got SpicyOats (wife calls him Oatmeal, but he's spicy) a week and a half ago. Young, half-Siamese so he talks, is too smart for us. A lot of sass-back. Here he is, saying "No photos, please." One thing to know for a new cat-haver is, they all have different personalities.
Oatmeal, AKA SpicyOats, ready to help Artemis II make a safe splashdown.
Trail through Wisconsin passes through three train tunnels. This one is so long you won't see the light behind you or a light at the end. It's foggy, drippy, cold. But I was on a bicycle so I was hardly alpha, doing my 750 mile solo tour.
Ride a bike. Here’s a video from Monday night’s ride. Listen to the peepers!
This thread is making me very excited. I’m taking this bike to NYC to just ride around for five days. In September.
Except for our first one (a founding) all of our cats came from there. You’d think they would be more thankful.
