As a person who grew up in the 60's and 70's when neighborhood programming was plentiful, there is a stark difference in what's being I framed as "parenting" here.
We were at the rec, the pool, the YMCA, etc. and they were all free.

Plenty of poor teens have lacked access to activities since forever.
I was one. I created something for me to do. My brother didn't. So he played video games at his friend's homes.
Parents are not parenting.

Thanks to Ronald I Hope That Mt Is Burning In Hell Regan, that all changed. Neighbor programs have disappeared and EVERY activity has an associated cost. Parents are now priced out of activities in both time and money due to capitalism.

I had an interaction with that account this morning. They posted a ridiculous post…every response was met with gaslighting and contrarianism. They blocked me.

People hating their mother is still hard for me to accept. I mean I get it, because anyone can be hate-able.
But damn you really don't like the car you arrived in? Even if it was raggedy, it got you here.

This is what can be defined as a strawman argument. You're intentionally gaslighting people and manipulating the narrative. It's disgusting. You're minimizing the pain and suffering of victims for social media. How sad and pathetic you are.
