I watched 4 movies over the last 4 days and they were all honestly fantastic.
Lindsay and I love doing jigsaw puzzles together (we even framed two), but she’s usually more into them. However, we started this one on Saturday and I am WAY into it and can’t explain why. The colors? The lines? It’s taken everything not to sit down and finish it in one go.
In love with how this Oh Eun poem opens. And how it plays with space and time throughout. I will forever sing the praises of @blackoceanbooks.bsky.social’s Moon Country Korean Poetry Series.
Started my first novel today! It's currently called Trampoline: The Rise and the Fall
I'm a little late, but if anyone wants to add my book (2017) or my chapbook (2023) to their #SealeyChallenge list, I have a lot of copies of one and a few of the latter. $12 each (covers shipping). Just message me! I'll mail them out as soon as I can!
My NJ born and raised self somehow hasn’t been to the beach in over 10 years. We’re fixing that.
If you like that, maybe you’ll enjoy the time I moved and measured EVERYTHING so I could plan the uhaul packing:
A few months ago I moved my office around. Being older and somewhat smarter now, I knew I didn’t have it in me to keep moving stuff till I figured it out so instead I measured everything and made scale cutouts to play with. My wife found this hilarious.
Can anyone recommend the Charlie Kaufman novel? It sounds interesting and I love his movies, but the size of it makes me think because of his fame an editor was maybe afraid to be honest…
We’ve been baking something new every month so this month Lindsay wanted to make marshmallows and that’s what we did (not really baking but we are gonna make graham crackers too):
You know they’re really good when upon confirming that Lindsay was being discharged we both had the idea that I should get some more for home.
It’s crazy how something as small as rounding the balconies can totally change a building and make it so unique looking.
And I found a very promising donut shop! Lindsay and I look for donuts everywhere and if she was feeling better I’d have bought a dozen.
Back in New Haven the last few days because the wife is back in the hospital. At least today is finally cool enough for a stroll.
Here’s my yearly reminder to paint an American flag in cow blood over your doorway tonight or the ghost of Uncle Sam will collect your soul.
Little girls would be 16 today. It’s been so weird not having a cat in the house.
