As a bonus you can have the Melilla version of the 'stamp' too. Melilla is another Spanish city enclave on the coast of Morocco. Makes me wonder why Spain is so grrr about Gibraltar when they have a bunch of similar enclaves in other countries themselves?

#StampOfTheDay #Philately Greece 1983 I went to see the Odyssey on Tuesday. It was a proper assault on the senses and the peril felt very perilous. Great stuff. This stamp is from a series of Homer represented in ancient art and pictures the escape from Polyphemus on a vase from the 6th century B.C
Not doing the meme but horrified to look up this fellow I recall liking when I was young and realising how much he looked like I did at the time aged about 10)

#StampOfTheWeek #Philately Norway. It's either 1937-38 version or the 40-41 one. I was tending towards the earlier but can't see a watermark. They're not always clear though. What I am interested in is the crazy red embossed posthorn mark. Any stamp hounds know anything about that?

Amused that on Instagram it changed 'dickery' to 'society' and also suggested 'rockery'. It is indeed difficult to visit anywhere that isn't blighted by some form of rockery these days

Oooo this one sent me on a wild goose chase. Ended up with waterlilies but spent ages looking for wisteria and found something that looked wisteria-y but might not have been.
If you squint really hard at this Vietnamese stamp there's a bunch of flowers. Other than that it was going to be the 'English Rose' Queen Victoria on a Victoria stamp. I even scoured the borders of Vatican stamps looking but found nowt.
