I read a lot of bl slice of life where these boys are all lovey dovey and being the most saccharine sweet couple, just absolutely in love, and my single lonely ass reading it like:
Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo I have no new art for you. So have this old watercolour Lucy Westenra
Some details from this one: -The fearsome Harnest Child -A Plague Eater milkmaid and the Manor -Silver spoons, baubles from the Foetor -Cuttlery depicting Tohno, a lord and a lady All the motifs are teeth, maws, gory tendrils and flesh, a tainted sense of regalia.
You're totally right! Omg memory unblocked, used to watch it all the time, this cartoon is a cultural cornerstone in Brazil to this day
A friend called me "Oscar Wilde" and I love my silly little outfits, so here it is. Fun fact: I got my first cellphone in highschool and barely used it, because I used to tell time with this very same pocket watch.
Style study with lineart based in 1500's wood engravings.
Watching some essays about this year's atrocious met gala, and you know what I would have used for the theme of fashion as an art form? Something created by Kate Hawley (crimson peak and frankenstein fame) and Michele Carragher (mind behind the game of thrones embroidery)
I kinda ate with this one I've been seeing bugs even in my dreams
Well look at that, it's that time of the year again. Can you believe I've been alive since the Cambrian explosion??
Artists, show what built your style! @mikemignola.bsky.social art is by far the biggest inspiration, Ayami Kojima, medieval art, specially the Nuremberg chronicles engravings, and @pepurika.bsky.social (fun fact, Prague Race is basically why I draw today)
Remember the Dead A comic from some years ago inspired by my local cemetery and a particular mausoleum that has fossils in it's stones.
I WANT TO SHOW THE COMIC BUT. I. CANNOT. Anyway, I have a fear of being a Mike Mignola copycat and of my work being too derivative of his. As I make the panels, sure there's some of his things there, but I'm starting to see something truly mine arise from how I use details and do stuff in my way.
Alright, late #portfolioday I'm Muccegai! Currently accepting work on book cover illustrations, monster manuals and various other projects that gothic, dark fantasy and new weird minds can conjure up.
Forget-me-nots, beetles and dead things. Finally finished all the sketches so I think it's time for announcing Little Ghosts with this little snippet. A comic by @goblinville.bsky.social and myself, out (hopefully) by the end of the year.
