A short walk along the street brings us to Alaus Biblioteka. The beer library, a first floor bar with 14 beers on tap. Flight of 5x15cl is available.

After a really good couple of hours we've moved on. Stop 2 is Local Pub. 10 taps with 4 Lithuanian and the rest Polish.

With the bars now opening we've headed out again. First stop is Nisha Craft Capital, 22 taps with an amazing list, but only one is Lithuanian.

So. Whilst Mrs MA explores the Palace I've worked up a thirst getting to Alaus kolonėlė. 24 taps of pretty much all Lithuanian breweries. Only do 0.5l pours but I negotiated a smaller pour with a slight price reduction. Result.

It's a glorious day to start exploring Vilnius. All of the bars on my list don't open until 3 at the earliest. Untappd threw up a venue I hadn't spotted, and that opened at 12. However it is a 30 minute walk away from the city centre.

Third, and probably final, stop for day one is Craft & Draft Brewpub and Whiskey. Cellar brewpub that has its kit on display. 6 of their own beers on tap and available as a flight.

5 minute stroll to stop 2, Būsi trečias. Cosy brewpub with 4 of their own beers available. No flights so it's sharing 0.3 of each.

First visit is La Birra Pub. My research, and Untappd, suggest this is a brewpub. This visit suggests it isn't, despite having 3 beers branded as their own.

A straightforward cross platform transfer as we arrive in our first new country of the trip. Welcome to Lithuania.

Day 5 and we are on the move again, leaving Poland and heading north.

Another very short walk to 33 Krany, a basement bar with 34 taps. Flights of 4 or 6 available. I like this bar a lot.

Just over 5 minutes walk to get to Browar Stary Rynek. Large brewpub on the square in the heart of the old town. 6 of their own beers on and available as a flight.

First stop is Multibrowar Restauracja. Beer Hall style restaurant and bar that has 33 taps. Thankfully they do flights of 8 x 12.5

Lots of confusion as the first class seats we have reservations for don't exist on our next leg. Seems like the carriages were changed for this service and the first class carriage has been replaced with one that is 60/40 standard and first. Luckily we got seats, and we're on our way.

An event free coach journey saw us at Frankfurt (Oder) in plenty of time for onward train. Now safely en route to Warsaw.

Next up is Suuud Brauerei. 7 beers on tap but no flights.

Another shortish stroll to Biererei Bar and Vintage Cellar. 20 taps with a really good list. No flights unfortunately.

Back to the hotel to collect Mrs MA before heading to a new part of town for us where the next stop is Heidenpeters, a brewpub in a market hall. 16 taps with 5x0.1 flights available.

A 15 minute stroll brings me to Georgbrau. Brewpub on the river that I realised I'd been to many years ago when I arrived. Just the two beers here, Hell and Dunkel. Nothing special.

Lemke occupy a lot of arches! Leaving Das Lemke by the rear, and through the biergarten, all the arches are occupied by the brewery. Get to the road and go straight across to get to Biermeisterei by Lemke. 10 of their beers on tap. Thankfully a couple of different ones to try.

Finally it's time for beer in Berlin! First stop is Brauhaus Lemke Hackescher Market (Das Lemke) Railway arch taproom and the original brewery site. 8 beers on tap with a flight of 6x0.1 available.

Finally leaving Frankfurt 75 minutes later than scheduled.

Final brewpub in Strasbourg is La Lanterne. 5 of their item beers available which they served me in 12.5cl pours.

Second stop is Au Brasseurs, brewpub with 4 beers on and available as a flight.

Tonight it's Strasbourg. First of potentially three brewpubs is Roue Libre. 16 taps and 4x12.5cl flights available.

On to the second train of the day with train beers sourced at Celestin brewery's bottle shop in Lille.

3 Brasseurs was closed for refurbishment on my previous visit to Lille. Now open again, back to meet up with Mrs MA for a flammekuchen and a flight.

Slightly delayed departure means we arrived in Lille 20 minutes late, but still with 2.5 hours before our next train. Beer O'Clock! I've headed to BierBuik, a brewpub with 10 of their own beers on tap. 5 x 12cl available.
