My evening view for the next two weeks. My buddy’s cabin on a lake in Maine. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow but if I’m up before the rain I’ll get a photo of the lake from the deck and/or the dock.

I normally don't like to attach images to these writing prompts but this reader's comment at the end gave me goosebumps. One reader also noted that they didn't know two side characters were in a relationship – which is correct! No recap and not enough time on page! 🙃

So. He spends this whole book upset about she inadvertently killed a bunch of people. Even caused a dumb fight about it. Whole book. Mr. Pacifist. And now this. I feel like the past couple of chapters he was finally starting to almost achieve some kind of character growth. But this is like 20 steps back. I should be angry at that. I know it. It goes against the rules. But fuck - IT WORKS. He deserves this. You nailed this on the first draft? Jesus.

This band apparently blew up a few months ago and, since I don't have other social media, I probably missed it? Anyway: Angine de Poitrine. Holy crap they're amazing. They're anonymous, so I really hope they aren't jerks. I doubt it? Fingers crossed. Anyone else in on this?

This is a great point about the "you're only 21" thing. There are 1.2k reposts of this. The post author doesn't allow quote-posts and replies are only allowed from their followers. There's no ALT text and no way for the majority of users to prompt the poster for it.

Of note: The loss of rights and the *blatant* goal of elimination is the most important thing here. Yet, it is infuriating how every bullshit conservative movement includes this. What the fuck is the aversion to accommodation if not laziness? Joyce is saying, "We don't want to put in the effort."
