Catch-22 becomes horribly real, with Pete Kegstand as Colonel Cathcart.
Bowie’s musical genius didn’t end with his own music, acting, etc. He was also a great producer. Lou Reed might not have had much of a solo career after The Velvet Underground if Bowie hadn’t produced Transformer.
Donald Drumpf, Control Agent 13 (I have no AI or photoshop skills, so maybe someone else can add DJT’s face).
If cats actually cared about anything we do (apart from feeding, watering, changing the box, and the occasional/frequent nuzzle) Darth Kittious would tell you that EVERY day is International Cat Day.
I like the new logo, however: as pointed out by @katelynburns.com about many tech company logos, the new ACS logo seems to fall into the same category
I’m a huge fan of Al Stewart, so I’m on board with “Between the Wars”. One that stands out for me is Janis Ian’s “Breaking Silence” (1993).
1. I’m trying to celebrate the parts of USA I love, to keep hope alive. 2. My adopted city was ‘born’ on July 3, 1888, so we went to the party/fireworks last night. I love living here, and the hundreds, possibly even thousands, who were there last night helped remind me why. Great sunset, too!
A bit of explanation for those who didn’t take Astro 101: summer vs. winter based on tilt of Earth’s axis toward and away from the sun, but Earth is farther away from the sun during northern hemisphere summer. From www.timeanddate.com:
Clearly this is not the Darth you’re looking for. This is our cat, Darth Kittious, who is generally very easy to find.
Another example of a Nazi who somehow managed to rehabilitate his name and brand: Hugo Boss
Hilton owns 25 hotel brands, so don’t forget to boycott them as well: www.hilton.com/en/brands/
From The Chosun Daily, English-language website (South Korea):
Dr. Asperger was a horrible human: link.springer.com/article/10.1...
One of the many things I’m grateful for is independent, perceptive, fact-based journalism. One source of actual journalism I support is Truthout, but there are many others to be found on Bluesky. From this article, which you should read in its entirety:
I’m from a town south of Seattle, so anything set in Seattle would work, but I’ll go with ‘The Boys in the Boat” because I went to grad school at UW.
As I recall, Seattle has a few triangular buildings, including a triangular parking garage.
During this month of Black Fridays, we’re shopping locally, at the Oceanside Farmers Market. We’re also enjoying the consistently wonderful weather (74F, sunny). We are also supporting our outstanding local coffee house, Jitters. Wonderful day!
The ten day forecast for the hellhole I call home. It’s horrible here. Y’all should stay home and avoid this catastrophe.
