It really is! The colony was almost 6 million strong the week I took this, and it was just stream after stream of them flying out for an hour, and so many stragglers even after that hour. They make a high pitched chittering sound; you have to listen hard to hear it, but it's there.

A faint trail of tiny bats winding their way past office buildings, on the way to the fields outside of town where they'll feast until sunrise.

My new favorite pin. That's a Foxglove Daisy Tulip on it, and the sentiment makes me grin. The artist labels this 'no words needed' (think about what the initials could stand for). I bought it from HeadWishOnly on Etsy, if anyone wants a version of it.

Your Small Human reminds me of this Small Human in a bookstore. He was reading while walking slower & slower, finally coming to a stop & dropping to his knees before Mom called to him. It was the most adorable thing to see. Reading your new book is important!
