City of Brook Park’s annual Home Days fireworks once again rocked. The best seats are right outside my front door.
My ‘twins’ are 17 yrs also. They are siblings and they act like it. But yesterday, girl cat snuggled up to her brother for his body heat. They surprise me sometimes.
Girl cat has been by my side most of the day. Lots of purrs and snuggles. At 17 yrs 5 mos, with kidney disease, mostly blind and deaf, I cherish these moments.
Happy Caturday! Boy cat decided to get into the toy basket. He’s still got some playfulness.
Good for you. You do you. The heck with what the others say. Those are good skills to have nowadays. Since I’m in a condo development, the extent of my Urban Agriculture is 3 grape tomato plants. I’m not that talented. 😂😂😂
Awwwww. How cute. My sibling cats were from a shelter and I just knew it’d be the right thing to do to keep them to together. They are 17 yrs now.
Dinner is a low sodium version of ‘Chef Surprise’. Used grnd turkey in lieu of beef, Black beans, corn, onion, zucchini, diced tomatoes, organic Marinara sauce, elbow macaroni and a little bit of Parmesan cheese. Will freeze some for another time. Learned from Mom creativity with elbow macaroni. 🙂
Last Friday, I thought it was going to be girl cat’s last full day. But she got progressively more like her typical self during the week. And over the course of today, she ate an entire 5.5 oz can of cat food. Yay!
Sounds yum. Have fun. Tonite’s dvd choice: Sounds of Soul. Cool story of shows in Harlem that were put on a shelf. 50 yrs later, someone found the film and made this movie. I grew up to this music. Saw it in the theater with @ 20 of us old Boomers. We got up and danced. It was great. 💃

In Life on Mars, the show got canceled but they gave it an ‘out of this world’ almost plausible ending.
Today I did a thing. Plans are to cxl Amazon Prime in Dec so I got 2 mini dvd players and hooked them up to my TVs. So, I can watch whatever movie whenever I want. It’s my way of flipping the bird at Jeff Bezos 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

After pantry shopping, my dinners for today, tomorrow and maybe Monday. I’m making corned beef hash and will have green beans on the side for a total cost of @ $5.35. Aldi’s is the best. 🙂
